1. jack up car
2. put car on jack stands
3.take off wheels
4. take off 32mm axel nut
5. take off outer-tie rod ball joint castle nut
6. take a 3-5 pound hammer and hit the area around the ball joint. hit it hard enough and it will pop out with one strike. DO NOT HIT THE BALL JOINT AT ALL
7.use a flat head screw driver aand slip it between the axel and trans housing
8. take a couple shop toels and stick them in the differential when u pop the axel shaft out.

the go to autozone or any other parts store and get a replacement axel and repat the process backwards

Don't bother with the boot, just replace the whole axel. They're cheap and it's actually easier as well.
