WTS But new to the game
Hello,
I think I have decided to finally part with my 1998 TypeR. There is a small problem, and that is I am not sure which is the best way to go about it. I notice the thread for selling and could follow some as a template but its quite confusing.
I'm sure I could get a decent amount (but the prices seem to vary way to much to get a ballpark idea). It currently had under 50k miles and has never been modded/tricked/raced/raced/altered etc... Nothing. Not even the sound system. It's 100% stock.
A friend of mine also suggested that I ask if getting some type of appraisal is necessary . Something about a cert of auth which may increase the value.
Cliff Notes:
-WTS my 98 TypeR
-Need to know what to ask for
-Starting point
Thanks in advance

It's as simple as taking pics of the car, hosting them on a web hosting site such as http://www.photobucket.com and linking those pictures in your FS ad.
what you ask for your car is up to you.
what you ask for your car is up to you.
So you have a bone stock '98 ITR with under 50K.
What kind of condition is it in? Cosmetic condition of the exterior (dings, paint chips, condition of the finish, etc) and interior (seat wear, etc)?
Has all scheduled maintenance been done on time? The timing belt and water pump should have been changed at least once on a 10-year-old ITR.
Is the title clean?
If it's in excellent condition and all the maintenance has been done (including the TB/WP) and the title is clean, it could be worth $17-17.5K or so. If it's in mediocre condition and needs the timing belt changed and other maintenance, it could be several thousand dollars less than that.
If you're not in a hurry to sell, start out a little on the high side. You can always lower your price later if you must. (And ignore the a-hole lowballers who call you and tell you your car isn't worth that much in order to try to talk you down on price!)

What Dave and Ken said above is about it.
Make sure you don't give in to the Honduh lowballers.....and be careful when showing the caR to potential "buyers". DON'T bring them to your home or even nearby to check the caR. Many thieves have later come back to steal the R. Also, make sure no one follows you home from the meet spot.
What's heR badge # on the armrest?
Can't wait to see pix of heR

I assumed he meant he was new to the process of selling a car, in general, and selling his ITR (with any understanding of ITR market values), in particular.
