Test drove S2000 - How much $$ to ask for The R?
I test drove a new S2000 Friday and have been seriously thinking about trading or seling the Type R.
I've looked in Kelley's but no value is given for any model.
I've got a 2001, PY, Koni rear, Tokiko front shocks (no mods otherwise)
60,000 miles (yes, 60K)
Mobil 1 every 3,000 miles
autocrossed regularly (dealer doesn't have to know that part)
Currently sporting Falken Azeni's 205/50/15 (almost new)
extra set of light wheels
two sets of Khumo Victoracer 205/50/15 (2 brand new/ not used, 2 with one event, 4 with a couple events left on them)
AEM cold air intake is not on the car, but can be included along with stock air box which is on the car now.
Bike rack can be included also, if needed.
Paint is good, but hood shows it's highway mileage - a few flying pebble nicks

Don't put the AEM back on..... otherwise the dealer is going to think your some kind of street racer who beats the **** out of their cars..... Even if you have. they don't have to know about
to give you a rough estimate, i was once thinking of getting a s2000. Went to the dealer in town, and they offered me 19k for my R as a trade in for an S2000. But i didnt trade it in, i didnt want to go thru another set of payments. I think back on it, and i regret it now, but oh well.
With that mileage I think you should be able to get $19K or so. Good luck and return the car to stock (and sell parts separately).
60k, thats about 4 years of "normal" driving, so, that would place it back to a 1998 itr. if you want to think of it that way. since theya re going for 15-17k, 16-19k is what i would think.

Im surprised they even let you test drive one was it used?I drive my brothers 02 S2000 sometimes and I just love that car Im hooked maybe if I get a raise or a new job and a less expensive apartment ($900 one bedroom) I could afford one, will see....good luck!
so, $20K not out of the question?
There are a lot of low mileage (~20k miles) 2000 ITRs around for $20k. I really don't think that you will get more than $17k with those miles unless you find a slightly clueless buyer.
