Default steelies+lugnuts

Recently my wheels were stolen from my car, so i bought some steelies to ride on. I seem to have 7 oem lugnuts and the rest are gorilla lug nuts that i used with my rotas.

I heard that using aftermarket lugs with steelies is a bad idea, right? Also, what other lug nuts would work with the steelies, if any?

Depends on the seat of the lugnuts. Stock ones are ball tapered. most aftermarket are a chamfered at a 45 degree angle.

The "seating area" is the part of the lug nut and the part of the wheel that (hopefully) come into contact with each other. You need to use lug nuts for which the shape of the seating area matches the shape of the seating area on the wheel.

Some steelies have a tapered (cone) shaped seating area, and others have a ball (radius) shaped seating area. You have to check what your steelies have, and then get lug nuts that match.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, you should be able to get lug nuts at your local auto parts store with either shape seating area (make sure you ask, and check them) for a few bucks apiece.

The steelies im rocking came off a 97 integra. I compared the stock to the gorilla nuts, and even tho they have a cone seat, they seem to not fit all that bad.

So the lugnuts for autozone or whatever are safe to use, as long as they are ball seat?

Prices vary. I went into my local Autozone a couple of years ago and paid $1.09 each. I did the same thing last month and they were $3.27 each. I posted about it and some people said the price was different in their local Autozone; in fact, Autozone stores may have different prices from one part of the country to another.

$3.27 is still less than what you'll pay at a dealer (list is $6-7 but some dealers offer discounts).
