Default ZC question

Is the 1.6L DOHC ZC from an 88-89 Integra the same motor as the 1.6L DOHC ZC from an 88-89 Civic?

teg's didnt come with a ZC they came with a d16a1 which is very similar but totally different mounting points. The ZC came in the CRX. The dohc ZC takes many parts from the d16a6 but also need some parts from a d16a1 gaskets ect if u are rebuilding one. Look it up, ull find parts list

Well I have a CRX with a blown motor. I'm looking to buy a ZC motor out of an Integra. Will my D15 tranny mate up? I'm getting the ECU with it. What about the intake/exhaust manifolds?

There's a website I found http://dohc_zc.tripod.com/main.html

It talks about swapping the ZC. Is this info correct?

I'll have to ask this guy if the motor is stock from the Integra, and also if he can find the nomenclature on the block.

Thnx

Id make sure its stamped, its right on front of the block. And if it is it should bolt right to the tranny. But if its not u might have trouble with the mount on the driver side.but im not sure... exhaust will be the same might have to grind a lil on the manifold just a lil, just fit the exhaust gasket to it and see what u will need to take off. The intake is way different from the d15, not sure if the d16a1 or any of the other tegs intakes will fit but i would get the intake with the motor might be hard to pick up that old stuff i know i have a hard time picking up anything like that,, atleast around here .Yeah the website is ok. all true but a lil limited on info.this website is a pretty good one http://www.thezcr.com, but if u are looking for parts just google dohc ZC parts list ,, ull come up with alot of d16a6 parts that will work. d16a1 gaskets should work

Well as it turns out the guy was false-advertising. The motor is a d16a1. I'm gonna get it anyways because it's the cheapest complete short block around and I need a motor.

Now, the d15 I had before was carbeurated. Being that this d16 is fuel injected, is there anything else that I'm going to need, assuming that all connections for the d15 are still present?

Also, what's the best ECU I should use on this motor?

Thanks.

keep the b16 , going zc ur going to lower ur hp and they are hard to find aftermarket parts for. b16 u can find anything u need,, and for Monster Rex ,You will have to do a mpfi conversion so the car can run ur fuel injected motor many writeups on H-T , heres one from a different forum http://hondaswap.com/swap-arti...49557/
