Default blown type r

I have an integra ls with a jdm type r swap and blew it up last week. all i really need is pistons and i have a friend who will give me gsr pistons and rods for pretty much nothing. My question is how much horsepower will i be loosing putting my friend's pistons in or should i just get type r pistons?

Honestly, 10-15HP.

Doubt you would notice the difference. Sounds like if you blew the motor you would need a lot more than pistons/rods though

Nice job with the multiple usernames..

anyways, pull the head, you'll want to replace the very likely chipped valves as well that likely resulted from the tip of the spark plug flying around the cylinder.

I had the same thing happen to me, I was spraying a 75 shot at the late night

drags and after a run my car sounded like a subaru. I checked my plugs

and 2 were melted I changed them still running like a subaru, made it home.

When I took off the head I had a broken valve, replaced valve and it runs

like a champ again. Good luck
