i was redlining 3rd getting ready to put in fourth when i went into 2nd and let go of the clutch pedal and i buried the tach i immediately put the clutch in and shifted back into neutral.
my idle is still normal and i dont hear any tapping of valves. is there anything i need to check. im quite paranoid right now about the car. the car starts and shuts down normally and drives ok.
what should i look for or check out.
FYI this is on a 95 GSR.

 

concider yourself very lucky...if it drives fine you are okay..if you are totally paranoid..leak down test to check the head...

 

well if your idle is good then --- lucky man.

 

did a compression check and got these numbers 210 215 230 235
are these ok for a 95gsr with 85k on it.

 

Kind of off the subject (slightly) but why is it that a lot of people miss the 3rd to 4th upshift and end up going to 2nd??? Is there a reason why this happens because I know that this happens to a lot of people, I've even seen it happen to even really good drivers??
