Default non vtec (ls) distributor internals same as vtec (gsr,b16) distributor?

ok guys i need your help first of the motor is not in the car so theres no way of me testing if the distributor is good. i have a 00 b16 distributor on my gsr motor. the plug broke and so i was looking around for a plug to splice in. a friend ended up having a whole ls distributor he didnt need so instead of cutting off the plug and splicing it on my distributor i opened up both distributors and swapped over the internals from ls the onto the b16. basicalling just the wiring with the 3 magnetic parts everything else i left in the b16. i left the b16 coil, ignitor, cap, rotor. so i would like to know if i would have and problems at all doing this? and will there be any loss in power or anything like that? its not a stock motor its built so i want to make sure. can anyone confirm this? i keep getting you should be fine answers but never anything definite
