i got an o8 si sedan with nav premium sound package but i wanted to install a sub is there a way to just jump harness from the original sub without adding a amp will it work???
what kind of sub are you looking to put in...stock amp probably cant handle most aftermarket subs.

The sound system is still only powered by 350w. I thought all Si's came with the subwoofer in back. If you hooked up an aftermarket subwoofer to the existing system, (if possible), the aftermarket (I'm assuming also larger) subwoofer would drain the OEM "amplifier", if the "amplifier" was at all capable of even powering the sub.
In other words, you'll need an aftermarket amplifier that is hardwired to the battery to see any reasonable gains in subwoofer amplification.

If im not mistaken, Honda sells something that gives you more bass and I think its a better subwoofer. Could be wrong tho, I red it on 8th and dont remember where.
