Sway Bar Question
I have a 95 Sol Si, no rear stock sway bar I believe the front is a 21mm,
I'm finally getting around to putting a 15mm rear sway on from my parts VTEC Model (long story), when I realized that the VTEC has a 23mm front. Struts are a set of Omni's Street trim. With Stock LCA.
The Question, should I swap the front out to the 23mm? I want the car predictable and somewhat neutral. It may be premature for my question as I don't have the rear sway bar on yet and haven't felt the difference yet, but what is everyone's thoughts on this.
?
?
Thank
-Joe

I wouldn't. IMHO, the OE 21mm front bar is one of the best options available for '92-00 Civics.
Other opinions may vary. I personally prefer to run as small of a front bar as possible on a high-powered FWD car. However, I do tend to run a lot of spring (and damping force to control it) as compensation.

Just run a rear sway bar. Remove your front sway bar completely. Our small fwd cars behave much better when there is no front swaybar.
I at the moment am running a 22mm rear swaybar on my 99 dx hatchback with no front sway bar and couldnt be happier.
And just so you know I have learned this advice from a few H2 honda challenge guys. A lot of them run it and it works.
However good luck with whatever you choose to do.

I'll prob run with the smaller front for now see how I like it. Maybe if I get ambitious I'll pull the front on a weekend and see how it goes.

I disagree. It comes down to a matter of personal preference, needs, and a knowledge of what is actually going on in the front suspension up there.

Right I think not having a front bar is not the best choice for street driving. Its better used for high speed such as at a track. I have been without a front bar for awhile and I much prefer the feel of a FWD with one.
track only car with high rates, no rear bar is fine.
street driving with no rear bar with softer "street" rates... you'll have two parts cars very soon. (especially if you don't have a lot of on track experience)
21F/15R setup should work fine on the street.
on track you'd likely want more rear bar.
Just remember, suspension is a balance and personal preference thing. Not a one size fits all type of thing.
springs, shocks, sways, chassis, alignment and driver all come into play.
