Having trouble making my own OBD0 to OBD1 jumper harness, who's guide should I go by?
I have a 1991 Civic HB 4spd base model that I am about to install a D15Z1 engine into along with the correct P07 ECU. I have decided to make my own jumper harness or at least make a serious attempt.
I got a PM5? non-OBD ecu and unsoldered the female connectors from the PCB and removed them so that I can attach the now exposed pins to the correct wires coming off of my male connector from an OBD1 civic. I just don't know who's guide to follow. I started off using 'Kurt's OBD0-OBD1 conversion' but I compared it to others online and I am now doubtful.
Sometimes the wire colors don't match whats called for, and it makes it hard to trust that the pinout is right. For example there is A13>B6 (obd0>obd1) and they should be matching green/orange wires, but the G/O wires are at like A12>B5 or something, right next to it? Then it doesn't match the other guides.
Also most of my searches return very old articles, from like 2005, so many people have probably tried them and can tell me what to go by. BTW, I'm thinking that it's possible some company like rywire/boomslang (FOR EXAMPLE) could get an anonymous username and make a [freak]ed up walk thru to discourage people from DIY so they get more business. I'm lead to believe this with so many inconsistincies!
Please provide some sort of hope other than telling me to buy a jumper harness, I well know of the option, and it's so easy if you pay $150 bucks for it, however it's probably easier for me to figure this out than it is to make $150 bucks!
Thanks

Nobody has any suggestions? Has anyone made there own and who's guide did you use? My motor has a 30 day warranty and will arrive in 5 days, so I need to make sure it works alright before the warranty expires. thnx
There were small changes every few years as well as variations from one trim to the next. For instance, I've seen several VX pinouts that have knock sensors. The CA VX model didn't have a shift light output that the federal VX had. There's also the infamous redundant ICM output in the 92 Civics that causes problems with the early AEM EMS units.
