Default speakers just stopped working

ok so I had a JVC deck and I wired it in, probably not the right way, but it worked. Anyways after about ten months it started making clicking noises everytime I started my car (1993 civic hatch). And then about one month later the speakers just stopped working, the sub still worked but no sound from the speakers. Because of the clicking from the deck I figured that was the problem and went to bestbuy and traded it in on the 1-year warranty for a JVC KD-G340. I wired it in and tested the speakers as I went and they were wroking. After I got it all wired up and set up the time and settings, i let it sit for awhile then when i started it up again the speakers once again didnt work and the sub did. Ive messed around for hours on end wiring everyhting the best i can, the speakers cut in and out every now and then, and once when they worked i cranked the volume to see if like they werent getting enough power but they got louder just fine and just randomly would cut out. I used this site http://www.bulldogsecurity.com...5.htm as a guide for what to wire and i photoshopped a little diagram of what i have going on now in my car. If you have any ideas what my problem is I would really apreciate the help. thanks.

You probably have a shorted out speaker or speaker terminal or speaker wire and it is putting the HU into protection mode.

Try the fade/balance test, fade all the way to the rear then balance all the way to the right, turn the HU off, wait a few sec. the turn the HU back on again, if still no sound balance all the way to the left and turn HU off and wait and turn back on, if still no sound fade to the front and repeat. 94
