Iacv problem sir-g
Last year my iacv went bad, I cleaned and no good. so i order a new one for my car(98 gsr) forgetting i have a sir-g swap, and later finding it had a fitv so the part i bought was not going to work. I called honda and they wouldnt take back my iacv(still new). I had an accord (96 ex) took the iacv and swap it into my gsr and it worked till now. So now im checking online to see what Iacv part I will need. Ive found that probally the 94-95 gsr iacv will work (36450-P72-005 KEIHIN) or the other integra models like 98 ls one (6450-P1G-E01 denso). both look similar. Has anyone had any experience with their sir-g iacv going bad and buying a new one? I thought i would be the same as usdm but it wasnt for me, since the fitv came with it. or can i disable the fitv and try the newer iacv since it doesnt work along with fitv,
when i bought the swap it didn't know it came with a fitv, and this one did come with one. I have checked my friend ls (auto) and his is obd2 and his has a fitv, probably you have heard that gsr did not come with fitv on obd2 but remember mine is a swap and im trying to figure what iacv i need now because mine is no good no more. or if i get no clear answer ill just get another iacv off an accord from the junk yard. the swap shop told me the engine is from a 96-97 sir-g so its true its even stamped on the head with late 96 date on it. so pro bally my engine was from an automatic, and is there a way to stop using the fitv or disabling it? if there is i believe i can use the new iacv that i never got to use.
