Carring a Knife while Riding in Cali ??????????????
Ok, I was just talking to my friend and He just asked a SJPD Officer about carring a knife while riding and the Officer said: "If you show it then you can carry any knife big or small on you BUT YOU CAN'T Conceal it, Also it has to be a single sided blade meaning only one side can be sharp"......... IS THIS TRUE????
Reason why I'm asking is because we saw a couple of riders on Harley's with HUGE Blades on them.....
Heres a pic of mine just to give u an idea

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... are we bringing road rash the video game back ? and is that really what a knife looks like ?
Rock out the anchors, Rambo*...and doesn't that buck knife have a bone cutter on the other side of the blade?
*You can swap out Rambo for Commando since he's your governor...

I drive and go everywhere with a pocket knife.. I've asked cops before, as long as it can be seen its all good. Then again I'm in Florida. I think you CAN carry that big of a knife, but don't see a reason to.
Yeah, so if those dudes had the big knives hanging off their belt and everybody can see it, its no problem. I don't see why people try to look cool with those handles on there lockback sticking out of their pockets. Honestly for most cutting jobs, people should be using a razor blade, not dulling a knife.

AK 47 is an assault weapon which Cali still has a statewide ban on. But yeah the firearm has to be in plain sight and it cannot be loaded.

If you have a CCW then you HAVE to hide your gun and not let any know that you're carrying.
As for the knife. Not all cops will agree with eachother. A few of my friends are cops. But they all seem to agree that a folding knife, as long as it's not an illegal automatic or switch blade or balisong (knives are tools & automatics are weapons), single sided, and the blade is shorter 3" can be carried on clipped into your belt or clipped into your pant pocket. Typically they recommend that your shirt is tucked in so that the clip is visible.
I've never checked on this for legality but I can ask a few of my attorney buds I guess if you want to make certain.

i'm from san jose too, & i see hella harly riders rockin' knives.
i was talkin' to a harly guy & he said the cop took his knife away so i'm guessin' it depends on what cop pulls you over.

The Harley guys here just carry guns. Albeit small crappy guns, it still trumps a knife.
But I understand that it's more difficult to get your permit in CA.

You would only have a problem if you tried to stuff it down you pants and hide it. Google 12020(a)(4) PC for all of the details.
When I was in CA, I carried this one, everywhere I go, except for the obvious, like traveling on a plane.

I still carry it, in fact I have it with me right now.

You carry a buck knife when riding cuz if an ex-member of your bike club gets ex communicated and still has the tats on his back, you can give him the option of "knife or torch". Son of Anarchy style baby!
