reverse switch on transmission???
ok i have a ls tranny and the reverse lights dont work i think i found the eletrical hook up on the bottom of the tranny and i followed it up to another mount on the tranny then up behind the distributer and then to a green plug with one wire in it and the plug is not plugged in......first off is that right and next where does the plug plug into. ne help is appreciated
i just looked at a reverse swithch for a d series wqhich i thinkn are the same has the B. there is a green wire and yellow wire
yea my vtec plug is the same plug as this one but but this one goes bhind the solenid and under the distributer and isnt pluged but only has one wire goin to it....ill take some pics 2m and post em
ur car used be automatic and got converted to 5spd? thats wat the switch is for the cable that leads to no where is for an automatic transmission. what ur doin sounds right . find the wire i tihnk its green. put it in reverse n check if that wire is live then connect it somewhere near te dist. cant remember exactly where i could check later

uh, no offense, but that was really hard to follow.. are you saying you can only hit vtec in reverse?
anyway.. the green wire clearly doesnt go anywhere.. so somebody messed up the wiring. the easiest solution is to use a manual, and run new wires to where they are supposed to go. my guess is that one of the wires is coming in to the switch hot, and the other is going out hot. the switch simply allows current to flow when it is depressed, and not otherwise. So all you have to do is see if the hot input still works, and then hook up the output to its destination. if the hot input doesnt work, then find out where it came from and rewire it so that it does work. good luck.
