Replaced 1997 Blower Fan Burning smell on top two speeds

Replaced 1997 Blower Fan Burning smell on top two speeds
Recently replaced my Blower fan from Auto Zone. But now when I turn the fan on the top two speeds, I start to smell a burning smell. I think it may have something to do with the amps driving the fan are too much for the fan to handle?
