Hey Guys,

I have a small dilemma. I want to know if an Automatic Shift Box from a 92-95 Honda Civic would fit into a 96-00 Honda Civic. I am searching for an Automatic Shift Box that has P R N D4 D3 2 1 and I'm pretty sure that I've seen these in the 92-95 Civics. However, my Shift Box on my 97 Hatch reads P R N D4 D3 2, as you can see it doesnt have "1" on there.

Now you may be wondering why the hell do I want "1" ... Well the thing is I have an Automatic JDM B16A SiR Swap on my 97 Hatch and I want to get all I can out of the Auto B16A Tranny. By this, I mean that if I wanted to take off from Low, I cant because my lowest setting on the USDM 96-00 Automatic Stock Shift Box is "2" when in Japan the Automatic 96-00 Civic SiRs came with "1" as their lowest setting. Here's a picture, so you guys can see:



For those that dont know that is the Cluster that is equipped on the Automatic 96-00 Civic SiRs in Japan and these have my Swap (Auto B16A Engine). So again, my question is would an Automatic Shift Box from a 92-95 Honda Civic (or any other Honda Shift Box for that matter) that has P R N D4 D3 2 1 fit into my 97 Honda Civic Hatch directly without any problems?

I ask that you guys keep the "Manual > Auto" or "That's why you do an Auto to Manual Swap" comments out of this Thread. If you do not have anything informative to say that relates to what I am asking, keep it off of here. Now, those that have something useful to say, for all means please reply with maybe a solution to my concern as I will greatly appreciate it.

I checked and the 94-01 Automatic Integras also have P R N D4 D3 2 1 Auto Shift Boxes, so I could use one of those as well (if it fits).

All in all, what would I need to perform the Shift Box Swap? Anyone know?
