abs pump replacement 96 ex
alright. my abs light is flashing with code 12 showing that my abs pump may be bad. i would just like to replace it and get done with it. has anyone done this before? how hard is it and where would be the best place to get a replacement pump? i'm thinking a junkyard might be my best bet, but i don't want to risk the chance of that one not working either. is there a way to remanufacture it or could i buy the supplies and do it myself?
since the unit is expensive dont waste your time with a used one since you may be getting some one else's head ache get it from you local honda dealer.
is is a pretty simple task the most time consuming part is the bleeding of the brake system.
if you email me i will give you some very detailed information

thats code 1-2 ,those pumps are $1,000 for a rebuilt unit at honda so it's up to you to roll the dice on a used one and I would test the unit first it's easy as long as the ABS unit is full of fluid just plug it into on your car and leave all the brake lines intact on your old one start the car put it in D or 1st move 5ft and put it in Reverse and backup up 5ft and put it in park and with for 3 minutes if the ABS light stays out it's a good system and install it...if it does come on pull the codes and it might need bleeding on or just take it back and get another one ...but it's a quick test that you don't have to open your brake lines bleed only to find out it's bad...
