Default exhaust gasket material

so i'm in need of new exhaust gaskets as i have major leaks on both ends of the exhaust pipe after my manifold and before my cat.
i have some material that i think might work, but i would like opinions before i start the process and possibly failing.
the material i have has some kind of carboardish stuff on both sides with corrugated metal sandwiched between. would this work or is it doomed to fail?
please help me! my exhaust sounds horrible : /
i can post pics of the material if needed!

Any exhaust shop should be able to make you some fairly cheap.

that's my issue though, dropped all my cash into replacing a bunch of other stuff that needed to be done :/
here's the stuff i have. i would really like to be able to do this tonight so i can drive without hearing exhaust from 3 different places. haha
i think it's some felpro stuff. had a sticker on the other piece that said something about gasket material.

sorry for the crappy pics. my phone sucks in bad lighting

There is a gasket made for Subaru Legacy that looks like the aftermarket 421 header shape just the bolt hole are off by a bit. I had the same problem as the rest that material works well only for about am month tops and then good bye! This gasket is metal and has lasted me for a good 3 moths and still going strong.

if you guy want i can dig up the part number

well, now that i have the pipe off, i've decided against using the homemade gasket. i'm just going to buy one in the pm. are there any brands that i should stay away from or look for? oh yeah! upon further inspection, i only have one bad gasket! woohoo! it's the one coming from the manifold! still not great tho :/

it's the one from the manifold to the pipe. autozone has these and that's probably going to be my best bet. too bad i don't need the other gasket. haha
http://www.autozone.com/R,2451...l.htm anybody use this particular set before?
