Default FV-QR

EH4 and EH2 are chassis codes. A chassis code denotes all or some of the following information:

- Generation (all)
- Body Style (some)
- Engine (some)
- Market - (very, VERY few)

Most chassis codes are for a vehicle that is available in many difference markets. For example, the EG6 is a 5th gen hatchback with a 1.6L DOHC VTEC engine. It's available in Japan, but also in parts of Europe and elsewhere.

Copy and paste from a file I made. I corrected it in a post before, but forgot to correct the file.

Didn't even look at it when I posted it.

I remember a good deal of the 6th gens, but I'm not super into 5th gens (sorry). It's all typed up by me, but I found it easier to save it for later so I didn't have to type it up again and again.

so why is one an eg and one is an eh?? is it possibly where they were produced or just that honda felt like changing it for no reason...cuz by your chart they are exactly the same as far as the engine. of course mine says eh2 and it was a cx...would the eg4 be a dx hatch? because both the cx and dx are 1.5 non-vtec motors...but the dx is a 16 valve and the cx is an 8 valve. maybe the difference?? like the motor and the options between the dx and cx hatches possibly...lol im confused but just thought i would ask. thanks for the replies tho.

You're thinking too far into it.

They're XX0 because that is the code for that combination of vehicle. It is not in any particular order.

This means there are EGs produced all over the place, as are EHes.

The EG4 was not sold in the US.
