Default auto engine work with standard tranny?

Title says it all basically. I have a blown D15 in my 95 DX, it's a standard. I can only find engines from automatics around here, will it work to swap one in? I'm guessing it will, so long as I change the flywheel, but I could be wrong.

You gotta be kiding? only diffrence on a standard and auto is the damn flywheel. let me worn you though taking off a old flywheel off the motor your gonna buy will be HARD! i had to get a torch to mine and burn them red hot then they came off.

but yea, all you need to do is take off your standard flywheel and clutch and transfer it to the auto motor. their is 6 or 7 bolts their all 17mm

remember to reuse your stock intake manifold as some of the sensors are different for the auto also

you will have to use your olde intake manifold and you might have to use your old water pipe. sometimes ther are extra tubes coming off the water pipe for coolant into the throttle body.

They normally come off pretty easily actually, but get a 17mm 12 point socket before you start, if you're using a box end wrench all I can say is good luck.

Not the 5th gens, D15B7s and D16Z6s are all the same, Its only the 6th gen D16Y8 found in EXs that uses two different manifolds.
