Take it easy cool guy. Unless your "EK" was imported from Japan and was an original RHD vehicle it wasn't JDM. JDM accessorized conversion perhaps.

......and the word you are seeking is "you're," not "your."

Calm down there turbo. Don't go getting all butt hurt when some of the members on here are giving you advice in their own ways. If you want simple power, i/h/e is a good route to follow like what have been recommended. Once hondata comes into play, then the sky's the limit.

... like basic bolt-ons? I/RH/E. z3's still waiting on tuning option though.

Well... I'm assuming you had a USDM car (I know... I'm awesome like that) and a EK at that so you're probably familiar with the whole breathing bolt-on stuffs because almost every guy I know with an EK has at least an intake. Come to think of it, most of them have motor swaps and they all claim they're JDM material too. Blah. Nevermind, I drive a USDM car. I suxor.

along with i/rh/e, you could do the throttle body spacer w/2 thermal gaskets, intake manifold gasket to reduce temps thereby increasing power slightly. these small, easy additions add up and you will notice a difference in throttle response (rev hang is somewhat eliminated).

Installing a spacer to a car with a cold air intake and vice versa WILL NOT add more power. The user/moderator sickyute backed this up with dyno results on 8thcivic.com. Also the 2 thermal gaskets would be useless if you did the coolant hose bypass mod.

Sorry guy. It is still a useful mod to do the manifold to head gasket. I installed one in a k swapped DA the other day with a rbc manifold and the TB coolant already bypassed. In somewhat controlled tests using an infrared thermometer I saw external manifold temps drop from 30 to as much as 47 degrees Fahrenheit. (75deg ambient temp)
