heading to CMP today.. need some setup advice!
Hi all, im heading to CMP for a tarheel z roadcourse day. This is my first time in a fwd car and i have been frantically trying to get it set up.
I have a 99 civic si stance(15way) coil overs, ctr swap w/lsd, stock sways, itr upper strut, nitto nto1s.
What should my tire pressure be cold?
How stiff should my shocks be set in the be front and rear?
alignment is
front- 1/8th out, -2 camber
rear- 0 toe, -1.5 camer
Thanks!!

Tire pressure is trial and error. Shocks should probably be front stiffer than the rear. Fairly stiff on a road course, probably near the upper end of the adjustment.

ignore stupid responses on here...some people have too much time on their hands.
I dont know about running stiffer front than rear. On my FWD I run stiff rear and softer front.
I would recommend 0 toe on the front and slight toe in on the rear.
Camber is fine.
What kind of tires are you running?
Start about 30psi and go from there. Mostly looking for around 37 psi hot.
I've been several times in my ITB car..you'll enjoy it.

Your damping settings will depend on your dampers. What works for one does not necessarily work for another, especially when you're talking about different manufacturers. You'll need to at least know how damping works, how well your particular dampers are valved and how well they suit your particular spring rates (and for that matter, how suitable those spring rates are for your application).
for fine tuning, it can get really complicated and involve lots of testing time out on track.
for ballpark so your car isnt handing horribly out on your first day...I would recommend setting compression/rebound softer in the front and stiffer in the rear.
I have no idea what spring rates your running front and rear, but assume you will not be changing these before the track day.
I run just off full stiff on the rear yellow konis and halfway between soft/stiff on the front yellows.
I run 350lb springs up front and 650 rear (suzuki swift GTI)
It handles great, with the alignment figures I gave you...I've run 1.58's at CMP making 92hp ATW.

i acctaully thought i did very well today, out of the 15 points of adjustments, i had 13 in the rear, 10 in the front, 35 psi hot rear, 33 psi hot fronts. the only other car that was a good cat and mouse was a type r with similar mods.
no, no track times..some pics of me chasing a gtr thought.. lol
