Default Brake light Question

Have a 97 Hatch Dx. For some reason the right brake light is out and I cant find out what is wrong with it. Put new bulb and fuse but still nothing. Any ideas.

put a voltmeter accross the socket and press the brake, see if you get voltage. or it can even be a bad bulb you got. switch the bulb with the other side

I agree. And if voltage is not detected, then check whether voltage (with brake pressed) is detected from the power wire (GRN/WHT) when grounded to the body frame and whether the ground wire (BLK) has continuity with the body frame.
