The company is Weds sport and the wheel weighs in at 6.1 lbs, not sure of the size though. It costs about 10-12K for a set, take a look.

This isn't really new information. Those concepts have been out for about 9 months now, since those pictures are from the Tokyo Auto Salon. Those wheels are not for public purchase yet, as I understand. But, you can buy some Carbon Fiber wheels from Dymag ( http://www.dymag.com/index2_e.html ).

Has carbon fiber been proven to be tough enough to be applied in wheels or is it more for show than go. I know rota or some other company had some carbon fiber wrapped wheels a couple years back.

Dymag's wheels are track-proven. But, they're not really cost effective.

Yep if you look in the Ducati accessory catalog they have them in there.
Also Volk made some carbon fiber wheels way back. I think someone on here was selling a set. "Volk C1"
