s372 to big for 2.4l
Just wondering if you think its to big. Ive already had a gt35r, pt61 and t67 on the car, the pt61 was a tad lagger then then 35r but all good.
The car really isnt a street racer and its mostly a drag car, some times on the street.
Now I want a turbo with a 4" v-band housing, and t4 divided. will I be happy with the s372 or am I going way over kill?
The car specs
96 dodge neon, 2500lbs, 2.4 with wiesco pistons, all plydyn coated, eagle rods, 1600 cc injectors, e85 fuel, 85shot direct port kit, magna flow fuel pump.
goals are 10's again and then maybe 9's if ever possiable

Just don't ever drive it on the street again. S372 for that size is much too large for realistic use on the street. If drag strip only, enjoy.

well after thinking about it Im going to keep my turbo and not upgrade yet. If anything Ill change the jets and turn the boost up
I was looking at the s366xl and then the s372 but its just to big for me right now.
Thanks for the inputs so far

Don't upgrade that large of a turbo until you can't get any more power out of it, at least w/o overspinning it. Turbos can take high shaft speeds if they aren't subjected to them constantly. 120k rpm on that large of a turbo would be far more than DOT tires could manage.
Also, a huge turbo like that will have issues managing low boost for street tires, unless you have a stellar manifold design.
