OEM FOG LIGHT FRUSTRATION!!! PLEASE HELP!!!
any one whos got oem fog lights is gonna know my frustration with this one. when i turn on the fog lights on they only stay lit when the low beams are on. when i turn the high beams on, the fog lights go off. where i live theres tons of deer so i need the most lighting possible. is there any way to run both the fog lights and high beam without running a seperate switch?!?! is there a wire i can snip or a fuse to pull or something to stop them from turning off?

True.
I know there is a way around it on some cars, but the OP didn't mention which year his car is.

Dam it. I was gonna say hook it up to a switch. Well my dad has a camry with aftermarket foglights. When he turns on the headlights, the foglights turn on as well. Also, when the high beams are on, the foglights stay on as well. Ill check to see how the wires are hooked up as soon as I can. U can probably try aftermarket wire harness for the foglights and see if they work. Good luck with foglights.
where the fog light harness plugs into the underdash fuse box i believe there is a brown connector you need to move it to another spot on the fuse box, there is a place u can plug it in thats hot when ever the ign is on, there is a pic on h-t somewhere that tells u what to do, i have the pic somewhere but can't find it right now
someone will post a link, i'm gonna look and see what i can find

Are you refering to OEM fog lights in general or OEM fog lights for a specific car?... I just checked my 93' civic and the fog light stays on with high and low beam. Make sure all your connection is right especially if the installation involves the fuse box under the dash.

the connector, not the wire, IS brown and behind the fuse box. your harness should already be plugged into it.
there is a post here at H-T explaining how to swap it over to your parking lights' hot wire so that it works with parking, low or hi beams.
maybe it is in the section called LIGHTING, I do not remember. do a search.

never having foglights, but by looking at the diagram, you should be able to move connector d to any other open slot a-e, excluding d, then u should be able to turn on the fog lights on whenever you want or only when the key is in and turned on

I know for 6th gens there are two different interior harnesses. The updated harness makes the lights turn off when you turn your high beams on and visa versa. Older 6th gen ones kept them on.

There's a fuse thread linked in the FAQ that I made that has ''92-'95 Civics, '96-'00 Civics and del Sols too.

I have never understood Americans and the love for fog lights. I just turn the low beams on and I have never had any issues with the fog. Is the fog much thicker in the America of USA?
its not the fog im so concerned about, the fog lights help light the sides of the road to see the damn deer
so ive located the connector behind the fuse box. all the connectors are brown so that description didnt help to much. the connector plugs into the relay for the fog lights. so now what? which color wire on the connector is the hot one that i need to move to a different spot on the fuse block? ive done endless searches only to find out how to do it for a 99-00 civic si and its definately not the same for my car. anyone know what to do now?
Look at the diagram already posted in the thread, I put a set of oem fog on my car 2 weeks ago (1996 civic dx). I don't know where it would be if it's already plugged in somewhere but I plugged mine into C in opiton connectors.

i already know which spots on the fuse block are hot. i need to know which wire on the connector should be cut and plugged into one of these hot spots.

yeah. There should be a plug already in one of those slots. move that plug to a hot spot.
