1990 civic si .. cd player (wires) need help !!

Default 1990 civic si .. cd player (wires) need help !!

hey guys i just bought a 1990 civic si .. and i cant figure out the wire harness.. .i have a 1991 civic dx and the plugs are diffrent the dx wire harness is a long skinny plug and the si`s is smally and square?

please help me out with this

Take a picture of both, that will help us identify them



^ that's a picture of the side of the harness from the deck that plugs into the (female) plug in the dash. All Hondas pre-98* should have the same OEM plug. It seems like your Si's harness may have been cut up to fit an aftermarket deck?

*my friend got a tape deck from a 3rd gen JDM Prelude and it plugged directly in to his 91 Integra OEM harness. So it goes back to at least ~1988, maybe earlier. Apparently in '98 they added two male prongs in the middle of the top row.

well i'm not sure exactly what you're after or the current state of the wires to your radio sooo this is a diagram for your car that tells you all of the wire colors and where they go.

hey guys..yea i know that there all the same in the earlier models... i will take a picture of it tonight my other civic has the in that picture...

but forsome reason.. (its not a hack ) its factory like that..
ill have to post pics tonight im at work right now...

i have a cheaters adapter the the one in the picture.. but the on in the si is a small square sized one not long like that one (in pic)

i forgot to add... i bought it off a 78 year old who has had it all her life..
and its still the factory tape deck
