Default h&r springs for bb2

i bought some H&R springs as advertised as "race springs" but i contacted H&R direct, and the number on the springs is a "sport "setup, the rep. said even though they are red the number is a sport spring,

is that possible? i thought the red springs are all race springs,

anyone ever heard of this before?

I was gonna give you a bunch of information I thought to be true, but I'll keep it to myself considering I wasn't 100% sure if it was all true or not. One thing I do know is your best bet is to at least research the spring model number on Google or something and it'll probably tell you exactly what setup it's for and that springs they are. Those look like race springs to me though, dunno what the guy at H&R was saying...

i did a search on google and other sites, and i put in the # on the springs i have, and it says that it is the sport spring, along with the h&r site too. but the guy from H&R said regardless what color the spring is the number on the spring is the sport springs.

i always thought that the red springs are race springs..

do you think the could have mis-stamped the part numbers on the springs?

a part number is a part number. you should be able to tell pressing down if you have felt a few different springs. the lbs difference is pretty big. sports are a good dual purpose spring, the race springs are a good deal stiffer and sit even lower. i would place 98% odds on them being sports since that is the part number. the race springs have a different part number.

as for the color i'm guessing you mention red since the new sports are black. we don't always know if they were black. could have been red years back? who knows?
