b16a2=obd?
ive got a b16a2, im told by the guy i bought it from, said it was out a 91 integra. i need to know if its obd1 or 2. or how to tell. or if because its just the block does it matter?
If the block code literally states "B16A2" on the block then it started life as an OBD2 engine in either a 96-97 Del Sol VTEC (trust me don't argue that it was a B16A3 - that was only 94-95 models) or 99-00 Civic Si.
This doesn't mean that the guy who put it into a 91 Integra didn't change all sorts of OBD2 related sensors to work with whatever OBD system he had in his Integra at that time.
Few questions for you:
What year is your car?
Does it need to legally pass emissions?

will the parts you listed transfer over to the b16a2? also which other parts will transfer? can i just swap the blocks (beside the obvious performance upgrades)

Okay now we're getting somewhere.
You need to find out if the previous owner converted it to OBD1 or OBD0 when he out it into his Integra. That will determine how much work will need to be done to transfer that swap into your Del Sol.
Also what tranny do you plan on running? If this B16A2 comes with one you need to find out if it's cable or hydraulic.
Also do you have any pics, or can you take some pics of said B16A2 and post them here? I'm specifically interested in seeing what distributor/plugs it has, injectors, alternator, etc. to see what will and won't work for you in the Del Sol.
