(another) do these figures sound right for labor thread (timing belt, water pump, valve stems/seals)
my search on HT brought a wide array of answers from (water pump + belt) $300 to $500 being fair prices, and I was quoted $508 for labor only.
Labor prices:
Timing Belt $238
Water Pump $266
Valve Stems/Seals $329
I am not going to do it myself, so please hold those comments back.
Its just really frustrating because If I go ahead with all this I am looking at $1000+ and the engines got 150k on it already, but it needs done because its on the stock timing belt. I think, economically speaking this might be my best bet because the compression readings were 150 across the board, the engine is in "decent" shape.
I am in limbo.. I do not feel like dropping $2000 to $2500 into an engine swap if I can spend $1000, drive the car a couple years, sell it and get a cleaner vehicle.
thanks.

to add my $.02, were are you getting this done at??? if it's at a honda dealership it sounds about right, but i don't under stand why they are charging you twice to do a timing belt/ water pump job???? they should be together.... hmmm.... maybe there ripping you off.
