If you must go big, then max out at 17's. 18's are too disproportional for a Civic.

16's LOOK nicest IMHO

15's will perform best and will be able to take the most abuse (potholes, pavement irregularities, road construction etc...)

 

if the guy wants 18"s, let him get 18"s

not everyone is in to the "jdm" 15" thing

18"s will ride really rough bro, i'd reccomend 17"s

But Mr-7's? Around here, every ricer EVER has Motegi MR-7's. Same as the Konig Tantrums. I'd say think about a different wheel...

 

I got 18's and love'm for looks but as far as go, you get robbed. Honda Tuner suggests 16 inch for the best performance overall. I would go with 16's or 17's. I use a set of del sol wheels for racing.
But, 2 each his own, I think 15's look tiny unless the car is really low.

 

yeah, me too. 18s might be a large, causeing rubbing, unless you ride higher than most. 17s might rub too, if you are pretty low. IMO, 16s look great, and you can set the suspension to tuck em in just right.

I think 18's look too big for a civics body and they are hella expensive. The biggest I would go is 17's.

 

Depends on the year and model. I don't think you'll be happy with 18s. They'll probably cause some serious rubbing on your car. They look rediculous on Gen 5 cars IMHO, okay on Gen 6 and great on Gen 7. I saw 18s on a 'new' Si the other day and they looked [gag]gross[/gag]; large, disproportional with serious gaposis, all at the same time. Maybe if it was slammed about 6-inches...

 

16 and 205/40-16 for my EG.

 

I had a set of 17" mr7's on my eg and I just got sick of them after a while, They were too big and they looked too plain.
I sold them for 675 and got a set of 16" Konig traffiks W/ machined lip. I think that the 17's are just too big for a civic. Also the mr7s are painted and the lips on mine got all chipped up from road debris after about 6 months or so, they looked like they were about 5 yrs old. My traffiks are about 6 months old now and they still look absolutely perfect.
