15's seem to nearly be a thing of the past. Just don't see many installs using them anymore.

i personally hate 15's, they aren't as responsive as 12's or 10's. and they take up way too much room. the only people i see with 15's anymore are high schoolers putting their alphasonic's in a bass competition.

I've been thinking of getting another 15 though I haven't had one in years. I love the low-end they produce but I will agree they don't have punch bass for crap!

Always wanted to build my own system in a extended cab truck with one 15, four 8's, four 6,1/2'a and four tweeters.

I'm not a fan of slot port boxes (personal preference) but I might consider another one in my coupe Sentra. Had one in my Teg and it was overkill! The same box sounded great though in my 4 dr Civic. I know in a H/B car it has a multiplication factor over a box in a trunk.

Opinions?

if you get high end 15s that isnt necessarily true.

I'm rocking 2 Alpine Type E 10's for now. Sealed box.

Well it's not a late model but I picked up a reconed Orion 15 DVC last night. Got it in a trade for some stuff I had laying around. Might just get a cheap box and give it a try.

It'll be in a trunk so I might consider a slot port over a sealed one.
