ls/vtec problem
Okay, my in-law just did a ls/vtec build.

ls rods/b16 pistons
ge lsvtec kit
aeb studs
arp bolts
machine work done by DG motorsports
STock b16 head
I wasnt there when he started the motor but, it started out with a high idle at 4k rpm he said. Then after that it wont start, he said there wasnt any knocking. Now when he tries to start the motor again it wont start, but you can hear the motor bogging ...I was wondering what could be wrong. I dont know much, but ill go check it out tommmorrow.

Ah, havent ask him that. Is there a certain sparkplug that is required? I was thinking it is the timing now since when he tries to start he said it boggs...
i just buld a lsvtec. ls bottom end and pr4 pistons on stock rods the crank was turnd and acl bearings.b16 head and a grand total of 450$ in all i use a pr4 ecu that i chiped and coveted it to a p28 and tuned.it only put down 153 to the wheels it turnd out just fine i put it in a del sol and ran 14.2 in the quarter. i have pland to put 450 injectors and retune with spray.but i ran in to some **** like that and it was the ecu i have to mess with the tune
