Stolen ECU from honda civic 95 ex coupe
Hi everyone i am noob in cars, can you help me. i got a 95 year honda civic coupe EX , i bought it on cragislist, and it has an engine from i guess 98 honda civic HX VTEC (thats what the prev owner told me) i dont know how to check what engine is there now...The problem is that some ******** stole the ECU in my car ... (the one which is under the passenger sides dashboard) now i dont know which one to buy - for 95 or for the engine(98 i guess) one ... Please help me guys ... i already got a 165$ ticket for parking on the pedestrian walk ... it [freak]ing difficult to find a parking pushing a car at 8 a.m!!!!!!
does the car have a conversion harness on it... bc if it does he was probly running the obd2a ex vtec ecu if it doesnt have a conversion harness he was probly running a p28 which is the stock ecu that came with the ex model civics..
so id go out on a limb and say he was running a p28 which u can find on here for any where between 80- 150 bucks...

ignore the conversion harness questions.
once you find the engine code on the block, the next easiest thing to do is to pull back the carpet near the door on the passenger area and check your ecu, there are numbers listed on the side, that will tell you what ecu you have as well

bc u can only post 5 tiems per day just edit ur other posts and talk thru them... so ur saying it does have a obd1- obd2 jumper harness on it.. not all are red they can be all diff colors.
yeah there are suposed to b three wires hanging there they are the ones that conect to the ecu. they should b grey plugs with all diff color wires going into um.. if all the wires are teh same color its s jumper harness if tehy are all diff colors its stock harness.. and probly was using a p28
