we have a very similar unit at best buy. i remember seeing a sony unit that resembles that. it had the same 10gb hard drive, and memory stick reader...

 

that thing is sick

 

dang, that thing will cost like 900+.

yup, i checked on it the other day at work and 1000 for employees, 1500 retail. ouch

Damn, that's some serious price gouging!!! The MEX-1HD list price is JY160,000 ($1380); I've seen the street price around JY117,000 (approx. $1000)...

i just checked today.. we DO have these decks in the USA.. we got them at best buy.. i work there, and checked today.. the one with the HDD is 1200 i think.. i forgot the exact price.. the other one with the large screen is about 600

sony has fallen off the face of the earth with their car audio QUALITY control lately but their 2 upper headunits are pretty damn cool, (the one pictured and the one below it wich has a full motion video display). "old school sony rocks"

I can get the HDD ones for $800 and the Sliver one with color changing display CDR/CDW/MP3 for $300... haha.. Both are tray loading...

Not in texas we don't. All we carry(bby) is the 7" in dash, the one w/ the full color face, and the 10gb hard drive. Besides. sony ... car audio ... thats a big hell no.
