just installed a fidanza lightweight flywheel and act clutch now car makes a rattling noise like its rubbing on sumthing abody have any ideas what it could be ? ? ? ?

 

also it is on a 99 civic si !!!!

 

Can you further describe the noise? Like is it making noise all the time? Performance is hinder due to noise? ETC...

 

i think i fixed it. but it sounded like the flyheel was lighty knocking off somthing but i drove it and shifted threw all gears and it seemed to stop making the noise....

 

it was at idle and sounded louder when you let the clutch out at idle

Hey I just installed my fidanza lightweight flywheel and a act clutch kit and mine is doing the same thing! At idle when you let the clutch out slowly it sounds like... almost engine knock but it gets louder and louder. I didn't drive the car yet I just shut it off and packed up for the night. How is yours doing?

did u change the throwout bearing? a bad one will rattle when u release the clutch and silence when engage

 

yes thats right its the throw out bearing...or else the pilot bearing

 

changed both bearings , seems to be doing fine ! theres a little added gear box noise but runs fine . . . . .

 

did u fix yours or figure out what caused it to make that noise >?
