Toda B's own Jun 2's on the dyno....plot inside
here is the plot
and here is my summary for the day
cams were tested on different dates, with the exact same motor. temp was about the same on both days,
but the jun's were run in cooler weather. Tuning was 2hrs on the jun setup and 1hr on the toda setup.
everything else on the car was the exact same from the previous testing, only changed the fuel
curve so it wouldnt run lean. toda b's intake was +2 and exhaust was 0.
lost 5whp in top end
gained 17whp in midrange
gained 17ft lbs in midrange.
bottom line, JUN GETS OWNED
drove the car all day today and its a world of difference, so much better through the midrange and so much more power.
love it, just shows you toda b's are still a good cam even with everyone trying to sell theres...now with that said, let the
flaming and arguing begin

that was the jun setup. 2.0L, 11.8:1 compression, jun 2 cams, toda header, 2.5in ID exhaust, hondata stage 2
the toda setup is much more powerful though so i am staying with it 212/149 isnt bad either but the midrange in the toda setup is tremendous, 17whp and 17ft lbs better than the jun setup....

You can't post numbers of 216/151 and not hear someone ask whats your setup, so whats your setup.
IMO He sacrificed some top end ( which is where the revs are going to be apart from launching and cruising) to gain some mid range (better pickup while in the wrong gear
) TODA B owns JUN II for cruising
No Offence Intended
He may able to get more top end power by retard the exhaust cam gear a degree or two, but have to make sure there is enough fuel for it.
But I would take 17whp in the midrange over 5whps peak any
day.

Not a big secret that Toda b`s are more agressive than the "mild" Jun2. I`m glad to own the Jun2 though I have big problems to tune them right.
Compare Toda B and Jun3, that would be a better race.
Adding all physical facts together, the Toda b put more stress to the valvetrain.
Btw, which valvetrain do you use to run your Toda b ?

portflow valvetrain. toda b's will own the jun 3 in the midrange too. look at the specs. the 3's are made for drag, not midrange. also there is more power cruising definitely. and you have to remember that with 1hr of dyno tuning those cams. i know i could get better numbers with more time. bottom line the b's would kill the jun 2's. that 5whp up top is going to be negated by the 17whp and 17ft lbs through the midrange
wrong, toda bs will not own JUN III in midrange by that much if the IIIs are tuned right maybe by one or two hp. Go to import review and look at the dynos.

I`d run Toda b`s now but Toda told me my valvetrain would be too stif for their cams... Someday I will go back to crower 63402`s..
Tell me what you want about cracking and those things.... Those cams I`d compare with the JDM4-1 header => Small money and good power.
I ran them 3 months and my b18 felt like a 2,0l engine.
But anyway... I`m not surprised the B´s make better power than the Jun 2`s
I don't know anyone who races their car under 5800rpms.....so in a race who really OWNZ who??? JUNs made more top end trq and hp.

He's measuring the area under the curve. Jun's are better for drag, no doubt. Look at that nasty vtec spike in the jun 2's =P. So tell us your set up already!

Undoubtedly those are some impressive midrange numbers for the Toda B's over the JUN 2's
But the whole midrange bandwagon is annoying as ****. Who the hell keeps their R in "midrange" while racing?? Yeah, you might pull me by a fender off the line or out of a turn, but once we hit the straight you are donefor as your top end dies and mine continues to pull me right past you. Whether it be drag or circuit racing, if you arent shifting in VTEC(past "midrange" IMO) then you are in the wrong gear. just my 2 cents.

well to tell you the truth i like it on the track better than the drag, but with the jun 2's i put down a 13.384 which wasnt bad. we'll see this week when i bring the toda's to the track for a quick 5 runs. also i think with the mid being better i can get a better jump seeing as i launch around 3000rpms or so. the top end is not really that concerning to me, because if it can get 17more both way in the mid then i would already be ahead of another car running jun 2's dont you think. also to the quote about the import review graph, i have seen toda b's in person make way more power than jun 3's. its all about tuning and the tuner to be honest. the spec c's really destroy the jun 3 also, i have also seen that too. but if you look at import review it shows something different. its all about TUNING, and a lot of other variables.
OMG what are you thinking of course toda b's will own jun 2's why do you think they use to argue for months about jun 3 and toda b think a little please
i am just telling you from what i have seen in person on a dyno with the same exact car with the jun 3's and the toda b's. maybe its just the tuner.
