Default Running a AP1 ecu on a AP2 motor? great or bad?

I'm currently running a ap1 ecu on my AP2...i shift at 8200 like stock but its that safe for the motor, it not have the same base map and these thing :S

I've heard that using the AP1 ECU on the AP2 can give some power gains..

But the risk is not worth the small (possible) power gains.

I heard it will work because Ap1s run rich and it makes up for the extra .2L the Ap2 has....

i dont think it will hurt it, as long as you arn't going up to 9k...

im sure it has some effects in the long run though.

Yeah, the piston speed is pretty much at a critical level on 2.0L at 9k rpm which is one of the reasons for the change into the 2.2L.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it.

uhh.. interesting haha.. u probably don't want to mash on it though honestly. it only takes a second to run lean in the higher RPMs and have the piston make contact with something...

well the car work great now, and its been 5month that he running on a AP1 ecu...i shift at 8200 like the stock one so.


Some great info here and the one about ap1 will make run the car more rich its true or just bs?
