keep stock or go sk2 mani
hey guys what up i am just swaping my tired b16 for a b18c1 that i just purchased, i have a skunk2 manifold laying around and was wondering if i should leave the stock or go sk2,,,, i have heard alot of different things
has any one ran it with stock p72 ECU and did it loss/gain power any input would be awsome
if it makes any difference
it has
buddy club thin head gasket
head was mildly ported and polished
strupp headers
act street lite flywheel
stage 1 exedy clutch
blox velocity stack w/ filter
i dont about the piping for the exhaust but it not stock bigger than 2 1/4

Jin is right, and wrong.
There is power loss from 4500 to 6000. I also think there is some power loss from 1k-4.5k as well. The thing is that the vtec has to be made to engage at the same time the ITRs do. What WILL make this a good idea is if you're going to be running an ITR intake, cause those things are 3"
ALso, keep in mind that you'll have to change around your Throttle body to be able to pull in a different direction.
If you're looking for peak power, it's the way to go. Oh, don't forget to get a hondata gasket to top everything off.

ok sweet ill keep it stock, my car aint made to rev 9k yet, so ill keep it stock, ill just clean the crap out of the IM, i just pick me up a hondata IM gasket ill be installing it today,,, thank you for helping me make up my mind.. i apreciate it ill save it for down the road,,, it looks sweet on the car right now,, but keeping my power is what matters thank you much

Yeah, those secondaries help to keep pressure up in low RPM situations. That should also keep up your MPG.
Lots of people have stated that you can get the same power upgrade from a S2k IM from just boring out the stock GSR one.
