A new car deserves a new H-T name.
I have been on the boards for about 3 1/2 years now (owning my '94 GS-R along the way) and have had just two handles on the various boards (All Things Integra, H-A.Net, and now here), MmmVTEC and recently changed to Velvet Jones, but I am now BrewCityR. Guess why?
I picked up a 25k mile '97 ITR (#57) from Indianapolis. Big thanks go out to Amit Aluwalia (djafactor here on H-T) for all your cooperation in this whole ordeal this past week. Buying this car was fairly easy. It was too good of an unmolested R to pass up. I originally was looking for an NSX, S4, Volvo T5R, or older M5 as a next vehicle but insurance and payments would not fit my budget so this R was in order.
Amit took some pics last weekend and I hope he doesn't mind me posting one of his good shots here for now. I'll take more next weekend. Hope to see you Chicago guys at the meet on August 10th and thanks to ALL the R owners for making this a great board.... 'specially you FL/NC foo's.

Edit: Duh, forgot the add the pic.... the 9 hours of driving today has taken it's toll.

Jus for the record: 26 1/2 years ago I wanted to name you "BrewCityR" but your mom wouldn't hear of it. Congrats on your new R.
Can't wait to drive it!

The trip back was fun. Very little traffic on I-294 in Chicago on the way back. Doing 75-85 mph in a 55 was fun, yet hairy, but I wanted to get home before dark. Yeah, I had perma-grin pretty much the whole way back.
Congratulations on the car, I'm sure you will be very happy w/it. We'll have to go for a drive some time this week and get you out autoxing.
