injector question
hello honda tech im a little new at the forced induction world. let me start by telling you my setup. 2000 civic si b16a2 on 14 pounds with 310 cc injectors only 220 whp, had to change redline to 7k due to a/f ratio running dangously lean. im looking into bigger injectors to get a little more power but im still a newb to the f/i world. my question in this, which type of injector is better saturated or peak and hold and which ones need a resitor box. and would i need a fuel pressure regualtor for them. any help please
ps. dont worry im not going to throw them in and start driving i will get it retuned and yes i have a bigger fuel pump.

Theres my vote. Just for more clarifications, one really isnt better than the other and it all depends on the size injectors (based on how much power you are aiming for). Typically, the smaller injectors are saturated (high impedence) and the bigger injectors are peak and hold (low impedence). The peak and hold injectors are the ones that require a resistor box. From 310cc to 750cc injectors are offered saturated and from 550cc to 1600cc injectors are offered peak and hold. This is just an example but different companies (RC, Precision, etc) make any injectors avaiable at different impedence. I haven't seen any injectors as big as 1000cc offered in saturated though because of the amount of fuel being delivered and the limited design out of saturated injectors.
your ecu is set up for saturated injectors, so find one that can support the power you want to make.
there are saturated nijectors up to 1000 cc's now.
