A friend of mine has a '91 Accord that was broken into some odd months back. The passenger front door lock and handle were damaged. Passenger door can't be unlocked by key or anything. Also, the lock goes up for like a half second (when using the central locking to unlock) and slams back down.

Money is kind of tight right now so some friends and I want to try to fix the door for her. Problem is, with the door locked like it is I can't seem to remove the door panel without damaging it. Any suggestions?

So the door cannot open? Is that what you are saying?

Did a google search for "removing door panel 91 accord" you real quick, page 2 of the results.

I got "You’ll like that because to get the door panel off you have to remove the driver’s seat. With the seat out of the way you won’t have to be a contortionist to remove the door panel. But, you may want to call your chiropractor in advance for an appointment."

Oh yeah try to clean up that little rust so it doesn't get worse. Sucks when people try to break in.

 

Yeah, the front passenger door won't open at all.

Thanks for the help. I found some info on google. One link suggested drilling out the latch.

Yeah I would avoid drilling unless you know the right spot to drill. Try to take off seat and work that way. It shouldnt' be hard fix.
