Default Difference between 94 EX & DX head?

So besides Ex being Vtec and probably a different cam, what are the main differences between theses two heads? Is the intake and exhaust ports any different between the two? What makes the Vtec work on the EX head?

I guess my real question is, can I turn my DX head into a Vtec head by swapping all Vtec components?

You can't make a non vtec head into a vtec head.
The two heads have completely different castings.. different oil passages..
A mounting location for the vtec solenoid..

You can however do a mini-me swap aka a vtec head on your current block.
