look in the dyno thread

401's are basically CTR cams

402's are a favorite DD cam since they pass in many states and have mild primary lobes with an aggressive vtec.

like i was saying, read the dyno thread.

i'm running the 403's with the titanium crower valve trane its pretty good. haven't dyno'd yet still working on it. but before my re-build i had the head on a 1.8 bore'd to a 2.0 and it used to yank on anything. the only thing with the bigger cam is that you can't run 92octane. i was running C-16 half n half with 92 pump gas.

you know what my favorite part about crower is? US made cams on honda cores with real lobes for great prices. i would always rather run a japanese or american made product over the china-korea mass produced imports other names are selling. i'm running 401's myself. nothing special, just DD stuff but the cams were top notch quality when i degreed them in.

mustang dyno or dynojet? would be in the ballpark for a mustang. also, how much actual compression was there? did you guys cc the head and everything?

You know i'm not sure what they did to the head, it was on a dynapack.

I'm not sure if the dyno reads low, but he dynoed on a dynojet and got the same torque, yet 11hp more.

that's typical for a dynojet. crower 402s should make around 200whp on one of those if everything is setup right. add 11 onto your buddies number and you're at 189. if the actual compression was measured and around 11:5-1, the exhaust was good. the cams were degreed and the springs weren't floating coupled with a good tune he might gain a few more hp. more aggressive cams exist than any of the crower lineup. i chose them because their ramps aren't that bad on the VT and the power is great for a dual purpose car. so many variables go into this stuff. dyno the car on a 40 deg day after it has cooled off and you'll magically have 10 more whp. that's why it is so hard to compare these numbers. i think the biggest selling feature of the 402 cam is the small primary and great mpg you can get out of vtec. pair that with a CTR killing vtec lobe and you have a great street motor.
