does anyone know if you can just go order one from honda or if you need to prove you own one?should i go on auto trader and get a vin number or somthing?any ideas or suggestions?thanks

 

Mugen Civic Si parts are ordered through control orders. The Honda parts person must have the VIN, the owner name, and...argh...brain fart...one other piece of info. But, basically, not possible if you don't own a Mugen Civic Si.

 

just get a 09 grill..............

The Mugen Si that we have in the U.S. is not even JDM.

Sure, they have the Mugen Civic RR in Japan, but it's not the same, by far.

 

It's not controlled order, but it is on backorder with no eta, i just checked at work. hope this helps

don't see how it does work, but

 

It's a controlled order. I was in the parts manager's office and saw the memo on the wall. It specifically had a list of the Mugen parts and said they were controlled orders. In fact, today was the second time I saw it, and after seeing it again, the third item required is a contact name and number of a person at the dealership you're ordering from. I imagine it's so Honda can verify details regarding the controlled order.

The grill would provide a nice contrast with any body color civic, but $90 bucks for the mugen badge. Forget that.
