zc zwap on 89 crx si.
motor was dropped in yesterday.
didnt use the car until the header is bolted today.
after the header was installed test drove it.
normal driving everything is fine.
but when i speed up around 4000 rpms the fuel cuts off then just goes back.
when test drove it yesterday, open header, there was no problem with the fuel.
anyone know what could it be?

searched and honda-tech people dont mess with zc swaps for some reason.
it started bogging on normal driving. [shifting at 3000 rpm, shifting slow]

heres my setup:
89 crx si.
dohc zc. [im guessing its off a crx, cause it was plug and play]
zc stock header, and 92-95 ex downpipe.
intake, exhaust.
5 speed pg7.
swapped 2 days ago.
theres either one of three things for the code.
9, 18 or 19.
theres no code 18.
code 19 is for auto only.
and i know my cylinder 1 is good for it to be a code 9.
cant really tell.
now, when i dropped the motor in 2 days ago, motor started right up, i test drove it with open header [cause jdm zc header was tilted the opposite way, flanges didnt line up]. everything ran fine [with 1 of 3 codes, i cant tell which one] yesterday i picked up a 92-95 civic ex downpipe, bolted right up, no longer running open header. and when i test drove it, when i 'rip' it, my rpms would go to 4000 rpm then fuel will cut off for about 2-3 sec, then speed back up normal [happens slightly on regular driving also].
i was thinking it could be the fuel pump, but my friend said it cant be, cause it wouldnt start if it was.
now i dont know what the problem is.
searched on that site and didnt find anything.
i tried to sign up/register to post. it keeps saying my email has been banned. [only my 3rd time on that site. 1st time trying to sign up]

get rid of codes and move from there. it is hard as **** to diagnose stuff when there are things like limp mode your car can do. For all we know, you may erase the codes and erase the problem.

first off, lets deal with that code 9....the first way i'd try and fix that is to swap the 2 wires that go to the exhaust cam angle sensor, and then reset the ecu and see if your code goes away.....if it does, than you should have no problem....if not, check and recheck your wiring, i hope you did switch the 2 wires from the dizzy plug to the cam angle sensor right???? if not, refer to the faq section of this site and look for the zc install for dummies, no offense......
but since you say you keep getting a fuel cutoff, i would check the fuel pressure regulator and its vaccum hose to make sure its working properly...
btw...thezcr.com has been going through some changes, so getting signed up might take a minute...if you have any other issues or questions just pm me
