tranny fluid help?
so i bought one of those magnetic transmission drain plugs from password jdm and i was a little to excited or something and rushed into installing it without thinking, and thought there was alot less tranny fluid then there was so a bunch of it is on the ground, i saved 2 litres of it, but my question is, will i be okay to drive with only 2 litres? like drive into the city and buy some more? that or will it be alright to mix 5w-30 oil with my tranny fluid, which is royal purple by the way?
well yeah man thats waht i wanna do. but will i be fine driving to go get some? cause i don't have any here, i just dont wanna [freak] it up withthe low fluid?..... thats gm synchromesh right? i was thinking of trying it, maybe i'll just completely change it, even tho the royal purple is only like 2 months old
its just over 2 quarts i believe..
you dont have any engine oil laying around? just throw some 5-30 or 10-30 in there, go to the store and get some synchromesh, and drain it all out..

k so i got the synchromesh, put it in along with my password drain plug, but when i drove it after i had a check engine light? and my speedometer would not work. so i took out the speedo sensor and inspected it, and installed it again, this time when i drove it the check engine light was gone, and my speedometer will jump to 20, then back down, and randomly stay at 20 for a while, any ideas waht my problem is?
so today i just said [freak] it and went and bought some honda MTF and ditched the synchromesh, i put the MTF in and still no speedometer, it doesn't even jump to 20 anymore.. so is it the sensor? or could something be damaged in the transmission? from only running 2 litres in it for the 40 kilometers i drove?
The sensor might of got damaged in the process of changing your oil. It happens. Thats the most likely possibility, as all you did was change fluid, which won't effect nothing. So you might of hit your sensor unplugging your transmission and it might be damaged now.
