problems with earl fuel filter??
the pressure of the fuel filter is rated for 30psi i believe, the reason for that is because its a carb fuel filter that was not made to be an EFI filter. efi filter usually are made to handle higher fuel pressures.
i see alot of N/A guys use the earls filter but they are constantly swapping the element.

do you have a part # by any chance??
does anybody else has any input, perhaps more options.......what i like is the low profile of the earls filter, that's really what im looking for.

Like he said the earls filters often get overflowed and maxed out/clogged. Look into the magnafuel filters, all of their stuff is super nice.
Here is a link to their website, http://www.magnafuel.com/produ...x.htm
hey that magnafuel stuff looks sexy, good quality too. i also checked summit and they have quite a goo selection but how many microns am i looking for!!
pick the microns according to what your fuel pump says.
before the pump 40 to 100 micron
before the injectors 10 micron
those arent hardcore set in stone number but pretty general

YES, earls is a problem mine can't handle the press. fuel seeps out of it. I call summit and i am going with a Trickflow it is rated at 300 psi and only $34.99

I thought most people run the lower number micron pre pump to keep the large chunks out of the pump/s and the higher micron (finer) post pump to keep the smaller stuff that made it through the pre filter but got chewed up in the pump/s?
BTW I ran the Carb'd Earle's Fuel Filter when I went to get tuned and it worked but it is definately not the correct filter for the job. I since switched out to a filter made for fuel injection with a metal filter element.

fuel rail<<<<<<< 10 micron filter <<<<<<<<<<<<fu el pump<<<<<<<<<< 40 or 100 micron<<<<<<fuel tank
i think the same thing too, i would put more filtration before the pump, and after the pump i would filter enough without compromising fuel pressure

yeah i saw that one there and i was going to bring it up to see what everybody thought about it, not that you suppose to cut corners on fuel delivery but, it doesn't look that bad for the money......
so far we got that the higher the microm the more filtration capacity!!
