rdx turbo swap
i was wondering if anyone knows any information about swapping the motor from the acura rdx turbo to the 08 civic si sedan. or if the motor cant be swapped is there any possibility of swappnig the manifolds to just add the turbo to the civic si motor.
you know whats funny about this thread??
i was thinking of the exact same thing hahhaa
i just want the exhaust mani and the turbo.
but the whole swap would be one hell of steal.
it would be in the 13's stock no problem. or low 14's.

either way, its not worth it.....
1. no way to tune(dnt say k-pro)
2. rdx block has diff trans housing.
3. def not fitting a rdx manifold behind our motor.
4. just do yourself a favor and go NA.

I like how it sends power to the rear. What's that 3 or 4 8mm bolts holding that case together? hahaah

yea those piggybacks wouldnt be what i would use. but right now we have no choice unless you want to do all that other stuff to get kpro to work.

i found out from a tech that works at honda that the motor mounts up in a different way and the trans housing like stated previously is different. i have heard that hasport is in works right now to make a mount kit for it. my question is now does anyone have any information on the internal specs of both motors i was wondering because the head and turbo manifold are one piece if they will be able to or are trying to make a head conversion kit similar to an lsvtec conversion.

I agree with this post, but... It would be cool to have a Turbo RDX - K20 swap. Bragging rights maybe?
But I did drive an RDX recently and WOW. I was impressed.
I still love my Si though

the reason being that the best parts for our cars are factory parts and honda has some of the highest quality parts. to be able to turbo your car and have a factory tune on it would be the obvious best choice for power and reliability. and i have driven in an rdx as well they are very nice, i just wanted to know for personal knowledge wheather it could be done.
